Even though my motto of life was to revive the Manangi Culture and popularize local Manangi Songs among other communities in the country, I first recorded a Nepali song "Aakash ko Joon" as my first commercial song in July 1997. Later on, this song was included in a music album "Aaja Pheri" by Deeka Gurung in 1998. I realized that this wasn't enough to achieve the goal of my life. So, I became a member of Manangi musical band called "De-Nyeshyang". De-Nyeshyang is the first Manangi music band.
